When I asked Laura if there was anything she would like to share about her wedding (which happened in September of 2020 with many restrictions still in place), she really said it best.

“We are so happy that we didn’t postpone our wedding. A lot of people didn’t understand our decisions and there were SO many opinions along the way. Many thought we should postpone the party until next year. Others were upset that we didn’t invite more people when the state limit increased to 50 but we only added ten guests (bringing the total count of 35, including us). Some thought we shouldn’t invite any friends at all and go for the intimate, family-only dinner party vibe. None of these were very “us”, and it took a lot of soul searching to figure out what would make us the happiest (given the situation). Our closest friends and family were able to safely celebrate with us, and that was our highest priority. Their closest friends and family were able to safely celebrate with them, and that was their highest priority.”
