When I think back to our wedding day, Krystal comes top of mind because she truly was one of the biggest reasons the day was so perfect. Going back to our first shoot with Krystal for our engagement photos, she made us feel incredibly comfortable and confident. Krystal supported us throughout the process of postponing our wedding and was helpful in every way. Fast forward to our wedding day, we cannot say enough good things about Krystal. Besides being an incredibly talented photographer but she is organized, thoughtful, responsive, direct, patient, flexible, and her overall positive and bubbly personality is felt throughout your wedding day. I titled our review "The Glue of the Wedding Vendor Team" because I truly think that is a representation of how Krystal works. She is so prepared and organized and thought through in advance how to efficiently and effectively photograph our wedding day to ensure everything we wanted was delivered - and then ensured to communicate it to us!! Where to begin with Krystal? I could not ask for a better wedding photographer. In addition to delivering an absolutely stunning wedding album, Krystal was communicative, accommodating, supportive of my crazy ideas, and incredibly knowledgable about how to make the most incredible pictures fit seamlessly into my wedding day.We chose to work with Krystal because of her timeless, artful, documentary-esque style of photography. We wanted to remember our wedding day exactly as it was, without all of the trendy filters and stiffly-posed portraits, and Krystal made that happen. She had the uncanny ability to wrangle all of our wild family and friends into beautiful, authentic portraits, capture all of the tiniest details and make them look beautiful, and simultaneously be everywhere at once without being intrusive. She was able to capture every photo on my shot list as well as every. single. guest at my wedding. My favorite part about Krystal is her reception photos -- she didn't shy away from the fun, candid photos, and I will always be grateful to have those moments captured. All in all, can't recommend her enough.

Krystal was an absolute DREAM. She captured every moment of our day and you can see our emotion in every shot. Going through our pictures truly felt like reliving the day. I could not be any more happy with the way our wedding day photos turned out. She also did a fabulous job for our engagement photos, even traveling to meet us in the city we currently live. She is so talented and definitely knows how to get the best lighting, angles and backgrounds. She even got to the location early to scope out all of the best spots. I wish I could describe better how fantastic our pictures are. Not only were the pictures gorgeous and perfect, Krystal was so amazing to work with throughout. Out of all of our vendors, she was so professional from our first phone meeting and continues to be over communicative even now that our wedding day is over. I knew I could count on her from our very first phone call. She also has the best demeanor and was such a calm and fun presence on our day. To put it simply, Krystal is the best wedding photographer in the business! My husband and I felt that Krystal put her entire heart and soul into our wedding. We would give her 1000 stars if we could. I would frame every single photograph if that were possible! Working with her was a dream, and my husband and I continue to be blown away by the quality of her work. Going into wedding planning, photography was a high priority, and choosing to work with Krystal was the best decision ever. She is an incredibly talented artist, and also a wonderful person. She put me at ease from the first moment we met. She was also proactive and organized, and shared an amazing guide to wedding photography to help us with our planning. All throughout the process, she made things so easy and it was so clear that she cared about us as a couple.
On the wedding day, Krystal’s presence was calming and joyful. Being around her was honestly so grounding, and my mind was completely at ease because I trust her completely and knew she would capture every special moment beautifully. My jaw actually dropped when we received our wedding photographs. Somehow, Krystal was able to capture every single shot we had requested, and much, much more. Our wedding photos are even more breathtaking and dreamy than I ever could have imagined. Her work with natural light is just stunning. She perfectly captured the emotion, tenderness, and beauty of our wedding day.
If I could do it all over again, I would choose Krystal in a heartbeat. She is an incredible person who we now call a dear friend, and we will forever cherish her photographs of the best day of our lives. She went above & beyond for us and we could not be more grateful. Where do I start...Krystal is absolutely amazing. She is an extremely gifted, talented and spectacular artist. Her photography transcends traditional wedding photography into pieces of fine art. Beyond that, Krystal is a wonderful human being. She brings total love, kindness and support to every interaction. She was so great to work with before, during and after both engagement and wedding photo shoots. The personal connection that she creates is evident in how amazing the photos are. I can't imagine having anyone else as my photographer to capture these special moments and be there on such a special day.

We hired Krystal Kast for our engagement photos and wedding. She is the absolute best for so many reasons! First, she is incredibly talented. Simply put - her photos are stunning and timeless. Second, Krystal makes her couples feel so comfortable. We had never been professionally photographed together, and yet she made it feel like a natural process so our pictures radiate genuine happiness and comfort. Even my husband didn't mind the experience ;)
Lastly, Krystal truly cares about her couples. When we had to cancel our original wedding due to COVID-19, Krystal was beyond understanding, cooperative, and communicative in helping us work out an arrangement despite many moving pieces. She's a fabulous photographer and all-around person...you can't go wrong choosing her to capture the most special moments of your life!

You will not find a better human or photographer than Krystal Kast! In a year that proved difficult for brides and vendors alike, she exuded positivity and remained overly communicative which put my partner and I at ease. We couldn't have asked for anything more!
Krystal successfully captured the depth, emotion and magic of our 25-person wedding day that was originally supposed to accommodate 150. In fact, I've had a tough time avoiding creating a wedding shrine in my living room. Each timeless photo brings out the best in our relationship and the unique personalities of our loved ones. It's just incredible! 15/10 would recommend including Krystal as a partner on your special day!

Krystal was an absolute GEM to work with!! Given that our wedding took place in July 2020 during the pandemic, there were a good bit of road bumps and changes to our ceremony and reception. Krystal was so incredibly kind, understanding and creative the whole way through! We had originally contracted for two shooters, but when we had to change things logistically she was seamlessly able to bring in a third shooter. To me the fact that she was able to bring someone on so last minute was truly a testament to how much people must enjoy working with her. And I can see why, Krystal is incredibly genuine, kind, professional and passionate about her craft in a way that is unparalleled. I couldn’t imagine a better experience with a wedding photographer!!

We unequivocally recommend Krystal Kast Photography. Krystal has such a fantastic demeanor that taking pictures (something we were not completely used to doing) felt easy and natural. Krystal captured the emotion of each event and she captured everything! Krystal was like a ninja--she got fantastic photos of each moment from absolutely every angle possible, but she wasn't obtrusive at ALL. Most importantly, all of the photos--the portraits, the action shots, the candids--are excellent. We can't count how many times we've gone through and looked at all of them. Krystal is the best of the best--you absolutely cannot go wrong choosing her to be your wedding photographer. We are so glad we chose her to be a part of one of the most important days of our lives.

Hiring Krystal as our wedding photographer was the best decision that we made regarding our wedding. I know that this seems overstated, but I mean this in all sincerity. Krystal is friendly, professional, and very good at what she does. As with many things regarding our wedding, we had no idea where to start when it came to picking out a photographer. As fate would have it, we had heard great things about Krystal Kast from a friend who had used Krystal’s services for her wedding. We met with Krystal and knew right away that she was a great fit for us. Your wedding day and all of the events leading up to it can be a very stressful time. It is important to choose vendors that you can get along with and that have a calming influence on you. Krystal’s experience and professionalism shine through when she is in action and I was always comforted by the fact that I knew we had her on our side. We did not think that we could be any happier with our decision to have Krystal shoot our wedding, but our happiness was multiplied after we received the photos from our wedding. We had a brunch wedding set for noon on a sunny day, which make for very hard conditions to shoot. Krystal captured the day perfectly. We could not have been happier with our photos!

Krystal is amazing! She is a delight to work with...so professional and warm. She is a genuine artist and her images are exceptional!! The photographer is the most important vendor that we hired because those photographs allow us to relive the day so completely. She captured every moment in such a meaningful way. I NEED 10 STARS to rate Krystal Kast Photography! From our first meeting with Krystal (and having met with 2 other photographers), we knew immediately we had found THE one. From the beauty of her photographs, to her easy and warm demeanor, she was everything we had hoped for in our wedding photographer. The icing on the cake was her responsiveness, attention to detail and follow-through. Her planning (which guided us) helped us ensure that we got every detail and all the people we wanted to be to sure to remember in pictures. She was so easy and fun to have around all day and all evening, knowing just when to step up and be directive and when to fade into the background and just snap away. The photographs are AMAZING and have captured the essence and detail of our special day. You can't go wrong with Krystal -- highly, highly recommend!!

If you want gorgeous photos to treasure forever, look no further. From the beginning, she was a joy to work with. She made us feel comfortable with her laid back vibe and yet you could tell she she had a high attention to detail. She was flexible and ready for an adventure when we broached the idea of heading to Hanging Rock for our engagement shoot. On our wedding day, despite being quite behind from hair and makeup, she managed to keep me calm and not compromise on getting the photos I wanted. She was constantly moving all day long capturing details of our day. She meticulously stores your photos so you know they are safe. We absolutely loved working with Krystal and would definitely choose her again given the chance!!

Without a doubt, there is no better decision that we made during the planning process than to work with Krystal Kast. From the engagement session through the end of the wedding, she made everything such a BREEZE. She made my (now) husband and I feel so at ease through the entire process - and was a total PRO when it came to every single detail. For this type-A planner, she was so organized and on top of everything, that I legitimately did not have to worry about a thing. Not only does she have such an amazing temperament and personality, she is an absolute MASTER at her craft and her work with light is to.die.for. I hope that I have another event in my life that allows me to work with Krystal again, but if not, I hope everyone I know hires her for their special moments!

We absolutely love our photos from Krystal. They’re beautiful, bright, and clean—exactly what you want for wedding photos. She was also really good at incorporating the kind of photos we wanted—we asked for documentary-style photos, along with staged portraits of specific groups, and we were so happy with the results. Krystal was also great to work with—her manner put us both at ease and made it easy to take photos for so long, something neither of us were used to. She worked incredibly hard, shooting for 12 hours partially in the July heat, for which we are very grateful. Another thing we really appreciated was that though Krystal captured every moment, she was really discreet— not intrusive or distracting in any way during the ceremony, but she still captured everything somehow! We couldn’t recommend Krystal more.

She put my husband and I at ease, and I felt like we had known her for years. After getting our wedding pictures back I am in absolute awe of her work, she did such an outstanding job! Krystal is hands down the best decision we made for our wedding day. From the first time my husband and I met her when we had just gotten engaged, we knew she was perfect for us. It was an added bonus that she was so familiar with my venue (Fearrington) so she knew the secret spots. The quality of her work is AMAZING - I cannot recommend Krystal enough!

Krystal Kast the most talented photographer I have ever seen! Her photos are stunning and she'll make you look absolutely flawless! She is somehow able to capture sweet special moments with such grace and skill that you don't even know she is there taking pictures, it's awesome. For someone who doesn't like being the center of attention and photographed and all the things that happen when you are the bride, she is able to make you feel comfortable in all the chaos, which in turn made us more photogenic and that is a HUGE deal. Even months after our wedding we still have people comment on how professional Krystal and her team were and how they blended into the crowd seamlessly. We never thought we would be sad about not getting to hang out with our vendors after our wedding...but alas, that's what happens when you have such a fun and awesome photographer! We first met Krystal at a friend's wedding and after seeing the results, we knew we had to have her as our photographer despite the fact she didn't even live in our state! Krystal was beyond accommodating and agreed to travel for our celebration. Not only was Krystal a pleasure to work with, but she has an amazing eye. "There is not one thing I would change about the experience I/we had with Krystal - not one thing. I had a large number of photos that I wanted, and Krystal snapped each one of those on our big day, without making me feel stressed/rushed/etc. I would consider myself a bride that worried about every little detail of the day, but I honestly didn't find myself worrying about Krystal, the job she would do, etc. It almost felt like she knew which moments would be hard for us to remember - but when we received our photos, it was like reliving our big day all over again. Lastly, if you are getting married/having your reception at Fearrington, you may as well not even entertain the thought of any other photographers. Krystal's familiarity and knowledge of the Fearrington grounds cannot be matched - and that, too shows in any photos that are taken. We love Krystal and can't thank her enough for her hard work!"

I am so glad my husband and I chose Krystal Kast to photograph our wedding. From our first phone call with her to the last email she sent us with our images, she was thoughtful, responsive, and professional. We were planning our wedding from out of state and appreciated how quickly she responded to emails. On the wedding day, she and did a wonderful job of making sure all of the images we had requested were captured, as well as many more that we never could have imagined. She got us in and out of Duke Chapel easily and efficiently. My husband and I don’t love having our picture taken, but she made us feel immediately comfortable in front of the camera. She has an excellent eye and captured truly beautiful and intimate moments between us and with our friends and family. We also loved all of the mix of portraits and candids.
