Tim and Katie both desired a wedding that was a cozy embrace of winter, with guests hearth-sitting and cider-sipping amidst the cold. Katie would say more specifically that she found inspiration from her favorite store, Anthropologie. She wanted her whimsical aesthetic sensibility to color the details of the day – the asymmetrical, imperfect floral and greenery hearth arrangement with scattered pillar candles; the minimalist cake with splotches of gold leaf detail; her textured hairpiece composed partly from the foragings of her florist bridesmaid from the Fearrington property; and the watercolor paintings she commissioned her bridesmaid Carolina to create for the day.
