<![CDATA[I love this story of how Nichole and Ray met!
One fateful Thursday night in September, Ray left work early and decided to go out for a night of fun with one of his good friends, Ryan. Which, if you know Ray any sort of mid-week work festivities was certainly rare. After careful deliberation, the guys decided they would try a bar called Ainsworth, located nearby in Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Nichole had recently started her first year of grad school at NYU studying Occupational Therapy. After meeting her new classmates, they decided to plan an evening of bonding by going out together. To begin the night, the girls decided to meet at a bar on the lower east side and hungout for a few hours. Afterwards, as fate had it, the girls headed to Ainsworth.
As a result of the Giants vs. Patriots game, there was a rather substantial crowd forming outside of Ainsworth. While waiting in line, Nichole watched as Ryan and Ray approached her friends and started a conversation, thinking nothing of the situation. After realizing their attempts at gaining entry into Ainsworth were fruitless, the girls decided to go to another bar and the guys decided to walk with them. Ray took this as an opportunity to strike up a conversation with Nichole.
Once reaching the next bar, they encountered a similar situation. Only this time girls were being permitted entry while guys were being sent packing! As Nichole crossed over the velvet rope line, Ray asked for her number. In this moment, Ray had no choice but memorize the number as there was no time for him to retrieve his phone from his pocket. This was quite an accomplishment as not only did Nichole never give out her number, but Ray also had to get all 10 digits right!
After a few persistent texts and calls asking Nichole out on dates Ray was finally able to convince her to meet him in Soho for their first date on a Friday night. Little did they know, they would both be going on their last first date ever…
